Lake County Prison Registry Filter
Lake County contains Northwest Correctional Complex, a Tennessee Department of Correction prison in Tiptonville. That state facility is not the county jail, and its presence makes one registry control unusually useful here. Select Include Prisons/Incarcerated when the search is meant to include a person housed at the prison. Leaving it off can produce a different view of local results.
The filter does not turn the registry into a custody locator. For a sentence or current TDOC status, use the department's Felony Offender Information Lookup. On the registry, focus on the registration profile and its custodial or registering agency. This keeps a prison record from being mistaken for a Lake County neighborhood address.

Read the fields together. An old offense date paired with a recent update date means the record was refreshed; it does not show a recent charge. Likewise, a listed employer or vehicle is an identification aid, not a statement that an offense occurred there.

A sexual offender may become eligible to ask TBI for removal after the statutory period. TBI's information describes ten years from sentence expiration for a Tennessee conviction in the general eligible case, with different timing for some out-of-state placements. Eligibility is not automatic removal. Violent sexual offenders generally face lifetime registration, and narrow relief rules must be read from current law.
